Awesome  comedian ..except that there are certain aspects I find totally disrespectful and in a really bad taste .like the way he makes fun of the nativity scene during x’mas  etc ..but again at the end of the day when I am just itching to have a good time in the peace of my home ..this is what I watch   curb ur enthusiasm 🙂

Every episode there is one part atleast  where I laugh out really loud ,kanmani gets scared ..yes its that funny (I laughed during painful dental procedure when the hygienist  cracks a joke ,either I have a low threshold or he’s really funny) end long bracket message

Ten dollars

Yes , thats how much I made in the consignment sale .For three trash bag worth of clothes and toys n books.Hours of printing tags cutting ,pasting etcetc ….this is how much I made .

Ciao consignment sale , I am not participating any more ,just not worth it u know .Printer ink ,paper …I mean the time n energy put into it…I am wondering why not learn .net like dh always keeps saying and just goto work .Also the clothes were 4m gymboree , gap ,macys , beautiful ones too , worn by an only child , very well maintained …

The persons who organise the sale take a % of the sale so ..yeah , and drop -off place was so far ,Dh might as well have gone to his hometown (which is in India BTW 😉   compute the gas     )  , yep craigslist is better suited for me 🙂

Weekends

Not a big fan if weekends.Well for one every activity is centered around kanmani ,like zoo (the membership is fully utilised ), the play area at the mall, the pet area at the mall, yes the mall for is good but we go there for this and it kind of takes the fun away for me.We schedule okay you take her tot he train while I browse or u know vice-versa….I know all this comes with being a parent ..

I do not have  the have never had the luxury of spending time with Dh going out toa restaurant ,movie   from the time she was born.Yes ,not a single day ,a single hour .Perhaps when she naps but we know she can wake up any minute and we have to parent again.Not had the luxury to go to my parents home n relax,  and well if a daughter-in-law n relax at her in-laws place ,then I say its myth 😉

So weekends its double-duty for us , as we both try to assuage our guilt for her being the only kid and having nobody to play with by spending time with her ,rightfully too ,what  will she do alone?

Sacrifices are a must for a parent but I like to whine here  ,to take some steam off …

We love her , frankly just before I got preggo the old fashioned way you know by going to RE 😉 I was about to go crazy from the lack of a child ,so now I complain like this .(sigh)..the grass is never greener is it 😉

Why those persons stared at me

Yesterday evening I  reached the library when it was almost closing time .Once I was there though I noticed some people staring at me,I was too bothered about reaching the library on time so I did not dwell on it .I had some books on hold and I wanted to get my hands on them (BTW both knitting books)

I took the books browsed for a brief period of time in the new books isle did self-checkout and came to the car..when I suddenly realised ….I was wearing these hairbands right at the top of my head 4nos all glittery heart shaped hairbands …I had removed them from kanmani’s hair and instead of keeping it safe somewhere I decided my head was the safest .

That too all randomly pinned here n there with pink and silver hairbands .

The exact same ones Kanmani is wearing in he zoo photo but imagine them right near my forehead 🙂

Another mystery solved 😉

what i do not like about knitting

• Purl stitchn
• seaming ….I have  been one with needle and string .
• i-cord to attach mittens or for straps of tanktop
• sewing on the buttons
• picking up stitches
• casting on
• finding out the correct gauge ..the process of it …changing needles
• of course error correction picking up dropped stiches (plenty BTW)

Dental visit

Saturday I had been to the dentist for a deep cleaning .Wow I got lucky and got a really nice person , he explained each and every step before doing it and kept me distracted,  all the while .

Then he told me something interesting , he suggested that I may be anemic because while cleaning even tho’ I did not have many deep pockets in my gums  I was bleeding a bit too  easily and taking time to clot .

The fact it that I am tired all the time , yes .From the time I wake up to when I goto sleep ,I feel a bit guilty complaining abt this because I have only 1 kiddo …she is high-spirited child agreed…she does hv a bit of OCD too ..but .

So i am planning to get blood work done ..ahh I hate this blood work buisness.In other news I may have lost a bit of  weight and hv almost finished tagging items for the  sale .

Well more on that later

Thats what I am feeling right now ..just dunno .My knitting is going on , I knit a beautiful cap for  special person’s kiddo in kanmani’s life .She  liked the cap very much..

I just follwed a very basic pattern and it came out PERFECT ..from the time I started knitting , this has long been a sore spot for me ,no matter how many hats ,bonnets I knit for her it never was a perfect fit for her ..too loose ..too small so I moved on to vest sweaters and such .

This cap that I knit for someone else fit her beautifully ,so I am knitting the exact same one for her.

I am using this yarn ..hmm looks like its new I cud not find it in their website to post the pix here ….

Its variegated and wonderful and its 100% new wool .

Kanmani loves school , Dh is fine and I am fine but like coming back to the title ..dunno feel like my brain needs some stimulation 🙂

jbf sale

I do not know if I have mentioned this before .
Just between friends is a sale that happens periodically here .Gently used items of clothing etc are sold and you can buy n sell ur own items too.We can  volunteer and sometimes can get amazing deals on toys.
Last time we bought toys n books for as much as $0.99 cents ..ladies n gentlewomen 🙂

Its invitation only  and we stumbled upon it by accident .This time I have decided to get rid of all of sh toys .She never plays with toys ,she plays with hangars , pieces of yarn etc but just not with toys she gets anxious even with the toys.
Usually I donate to salvation but this time I hv decided to sell them ALL.

..also my hats n sweater ..just to see if anyone will buy it 🙂
Dh is saying I can do whatever I want so I hv decided to volunteer too ,I am going to clean out the house and make it much better ,i am soooooooooooooo excited about this .also I wont buy a single thing ..no toys nothing except yarn ,am hoping someone will throw out nice yarns 🙂

Sunday I went to Macys.

The last top I bought was for xmas and before that ,the last one was probably in May or Jun 2009 .SO get my buying frequency .I do not mind it ,in fact I chose it .

I hate shopping for myself but I love to shop for Dh & Sh
So sterday , I bought a total of 6-7 tops within 20 mins .Dh he insisted I buy for a budget of $200 .The bill came upto $134 I did get a ton of discounts tho’

one of them looks like this   and when I wore it I looked just like her 😉

I bought this one too made in………………..India ..hahahaha

Actually I bought many beautiful ones with floral prints and nice cuts to flatter my top-heavy figure but I am not able to find them on their website ,I am guessing mine are a from a new shipment ?
